The
Tiny Genie
There is a tiny genie,
Living inside my bedroom wall.
He lost his magic lantern
It was stolen by Charles De Gaulle.
Because he’s a genie,
He does as he pleases.
He can only grant wishes,
Right after he sneezes.
I’ve been waiting a while,
For my first wish.
The genie says he can’t sneeze,
Unless he smells boiled fish.
Because I’m a vegetarian,
I’ve been waiting for some time.
I never eat boiled fish,
Not even in the summertime.
I asked him to smell some tofu—
He said he’d rather not.
I told him in no uncertain terms,
That’s the best I’ve got.
There is a tiny genie,
Living inside my bedroom wall.
He lost his magic lantern,
It was stolen by Charles De Gaulle. |

Why?
If I only knew
Why the sky was blue
Or why the grass is green
Or why it never
Rains cats and dogs
And everything
Inbetween. Conversations
with a Bumblebee
Bumblebees are very polite,
When they are not busy.
Gathering pollen to and fro,
Puts them in a tizzy.

Raindrop Stew
Raindrop Stew
Raindrop Stew
I’m making some
For me and Sue
A pinch of cloud
And sunshine too
I’m making me
Some Raindrop Stew
Raindrop Stew
Raindrop Stew
With carrots and peas
And kangaroo
And a pinch of sky
From Timbuktu
I’m making me
Some Raindrop Stew. |
